Decisions to Make When Buying Vacuums

Vacuums range in price from $100-$1,000, but the average device costs about $200-$300. Given the size of that investment, it's important to take the time to consider your choices carefully.
First, decide between a canister vac and an upright. Upright vacs are good for giving carpets a deep clean, whereas canister vacs are better for homes in which over half the floors are wood.
Secondly, you will have to choose between a bag model and bagless vacuum. With a bag, you can quickly and easily clean out your vacuum without ever having to come into contact with the bag's contents. On the other hand, if you vacuum up something valuable, a bagless canister makes it easy to find.
Finally, make sure the hoses and cords of the vacuum you choose are long enough for your home. You'll need long hoses if you intend to clean fans, curtains, etc.
