Employees Misled by Kirby Vacuum Sales Position

In Connecticut, a group called Golden Circle Distributors has been misleading teenagers and young adults with false promises related to a Kirby vacuum sales job.
The group has put out ads promising that employees would make a minimum of $450 per week without having to sell anything. However, once the prospective employees complete a week of training, the group informs them that they will become vacuum cleaner salespeople.
Inspirational meetings are held every day and attendance is mandatory. The group forbids negative questions, such as whether the employees will be paid for training.
Many parents are concerned, as the group has swindled many young people into signing employment contracts under false pretenses.
